Privacy at Kite

What Kite does with your questions

When you ask Kite a question, we automatically remove any identifying information about your child before the AI processes it. Names, school names, IEP IDs, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses are stripped out and replaced with generic placeholders.

What we keep

  • Anonymized questions and answers— so we can improve Kite's accuracy over time. These contain no identifying details about your child.
  • Your email address — only if you provide it for the email gate or payment, so we can send you access links.

What we never store

  • Your child's name or identifying details
  • IEP documents or IDs
  • School names or addresses
  • Medical diagnoses linked to identifiable individuals

AI processing

Kite uses OpenAI's API with data-protection terms enabled. Your questions are not used to train AI models. The anonymized text is processed only to generate your answer and is not retained by the AI provider.

Deleting your data

You can request deletion of all your data at any time by emailing support@kite.family. We'll remove your email and any associated question history within 48 hours.
